About the Role
Makers’ Muse is looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Executive who can independently manage our presence across Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable planning content, designing engaging posts, shooting and editing short-form videos, creating reels, writing captions, and publishing content consistently across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the company’s Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube accounts.
- Plan and maintain a weekly and monthly social media content calendar.
- Create engaging reels, posts, carousels, stories, YouTube Shorts, and videos.
- Shoot and edit videos featuring products, activities, events, students, team members, and company initiatives.
- Write creative captions, headlines, video descriptions, and calls to action.
- Publish content regularly and ensure consistent branding across platforms.
- Adapt the same content appropriately for Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Research trending topics, audio, formats, hashtags, and content ideas.
- Coordinate with the marketing, design, academic, and operations teams for content.
- Cover company events, workshops, school activities, and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Respond to comments and messages and encourage audience engagement.
- Monitor content performance, reach, engagement, followers, and video views.
- Prepare monthly social media performance reports.
- Suggest new campaigns and creative ideas to improve brand visibility.
Requirements
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Good video shooting and editing skills.
- Ability to use tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, VN, or similar software.
- Strong visual sense and ability to create attractive social media content.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to write professional LinkedIn content as well as engaging Instagram captions.
- Understanding of social media trends, algorithms, hashtags, and audience engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet content deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of photography, lighting, framing, and audio recording.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Media, Design, or a related field.
- Previous experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organization.
- A portfolio of reels, videos, social media posts, or pages previously managed.
- Experience working with an education, technology, startup, or youth-focused brand will be an advantage.
