SMARTSOURCING USA is seeking a qualified Site Work / Utilities Specialist to support the training and development of aspiring site work and utilities estimators and construction professionals.

This is a contractor role for someone who can independently deliver training, provide mentorship, and contribute subject matter expertise in site development, underground utilities, earthwork, and estimating practices.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Site Work / Utilities Specialist or in a related civil construction trade.
  • Strong experience working on U.S.-based construction projects, with solid knowledge of U.S. standards, terminology, and workflows.
  • Prior experience in training, mentoring, coaching, or a team lead capacity within the site work or utilities industry.
  • Strong understanding of earthwork, excavation, grading, trenching, underground utility installation (storm, sanitary sewer, water, and fire lines), erosion control, paving preparation, estimating principles, quantity takeoffs, and project coordination.
  • Knowledge of U.S. site development standards, civil construction practices, utility installation methods, OSHA safety requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Experience estimating commercial and/or residential site development and utility projects.
  • Familiarity with estimating software, digital takeoff tools, blueprint reading, civil drawings, grading plans, utility profiles, and construction specifications.
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently and manage deliverables in a remote contractor setup.
  • Professional, patient, and effective in guiding learners with varying skill levels.
