Senior Webflow Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Webflow Developer to lead the architecture, implementation, and maintenance of high-performance web applications and marketing sites. In this role, you will bridge the gap between creative visual design and robust front-end engineering, translating complex Figma designs into clean, responsive, and scalable Webflow builds. You will define technical standards, manage custom integrations, optimize Core Web Vitals, and build maintainable design systems using frameworks like Client-First or Relume.

Key Responsibilities

• Webflow Architecture & Build: Build modular, scalable, and fully responsive websites in Webflow using standardized class-naming methodologies (Client-First / BEM).
• CMS & Data Modeling: Design complex Webflow CMS architectures, multi-reference systems, conditional filtering, and dynamic content collections.
• Custom Code & Functionality: Write clean, modular custom HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+) to extend Webflow capabilities beyond native platform limits.
• API & Third-Party Integrations: Integrate Webflow with external databases, authentication providers, and marketing tooling (such as Supabase, Memberstack, Zapier, Make, HubSpot, and GA4).
• Interactions & Animations: Develop lightweight, high-performance interactions using Webflow Interactions, GSAP, and native CSS animations without sacrificing site speed.
• Performance & Technical SEO: Optimize website speed, asset delivery, structured schema data, semantic HTML markup, open graph metadata, and Core Web Vitals across all screen viewports.
• Code Quality & Standards: Establish and enforce best practices for design system tokens, style guides, asset optimization, code reviews, and cross-browser/cross-device compatibility.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with UI/UX designers, product managers, and growth engineers to deliver rapid design iterations and ensure pixel-perfect fidelity.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

• 4+ years of professional front-end web development experience, with at least 3 years focused on building production-grade Webflow sites.
• Deep mastery of the Webflow ecosystem: Designer, CMS collections, Symbols/Components, custom form handlers, and site settings.
• Proven proficiency in modern CSS (Flexbox, CSS Grid, custom properties, responsive units), semantic HTML5, and vanilla JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience implementing structured Webflow methodologies, primarily Finsweet Client-First or Relume Library standards.
• Experience integrating custom scripts, REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party tools into Webflow projects.
• Thorough understanding of technical SEO best practices, accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA), and Core Web Vitals optimization.
• Strong debugging skills across major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and mobile operating systems (iOS, Android).
• Working knowledge of Figma, including design systems, auto-layout, variable modes, and asset exports.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using tools such as Finsweet Attributes, Wized, or Relume.
• Experience building or consuming headless architectures, reverse proxies, or hybrid builds using Next.js or React alongside Webflow.
• Familiarity with database configurations and user authentication flows using tools like Supabase, Airtable, or Firebase.
• Understanding of programmatic page generation, localized landing page scaling, and dynamic sitemaps.
