Senior Testing Engineer

Testing & Delivery

• Own testing and quality assurance for assigned projects, developing and executing comprehensive test strategies that ensure quality, accessibility, functionality, and policy compliance

• Design and execute functional, workflow-driven, performance, and accessibility testing across mobile products and services

• Develop and maintain automated tests and testing workflows that improve coverage, reliability, and delivery effectiveness

• Work with product managers, developers, designers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria, identify risks, and translate them into effective testing approaches

• Conduct testing using assistive technologies and automated tools to validate compliance with government accessibility standards

• Verify fixes and validate functionality throughout the product lifecycle across development and production environments

• Proactively identify quality risks, gaps, and opportunities to improve testing approaches, processes, and technical workflows

• Integrate AI and automation into daily testing workflows to reduce manual effort, improve coverage and quality, and increase delivery effectiveness

• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and serve as a trusted advisor on quality, testing, accessibility, and risk

• Communicate testing approaches, findings, risks, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

• Develop a strong understanding of client needs, objectives, constraints, and priorities and align testing strategies accordingly

• Educate customers and delivery teams on mobile quality and accessibility best practices, including assistive technologies and testing methods

• Identify responsible AI-enabled approaches that can improve customer value, quality, or efficiency without compromising trust or rigor

• Partner with leadership, stakeholders, and accessibility experts to strengthen accessibility practices and advocate for inclusive, high-quality experiences

• Establish and reinforce QA best practices, including structured test planning, defect triage, documentation, accessibility compliance, and technical workflows

• Share testing knowledge, tools, approaches, and effective AI practices with teammates to strengthen team capability and consistency

• Identify and help address delivery or team challenges, proactively surfacing risks and contributing to constructive solutions

• Contribute to the evolution of MO’s testing and quality practices by identifying opportunities to improve methods, tools, processes, and ways of working

• Contribute testing and quality expertise to proposals, engagement planning, solution development, and other growth activities as appropriate

• Identify opportunities to use testing expertise, AI, automation, or emerging technologies to create scalable capabilities, improve efficiency, or strengthen MO’s offerings

• Share insights from client work and the broader industry to help MO identify new opportunities, improve our approaches, and strengthen our value proposition

• 5+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, with significant experience testing mobile applications

• Experience working with the federal government, with prior VA experience preferred

• Proven delivery: track record of independently owning testing and quality assurance for complex projects and delivering high-quality results with minimal guidance

• Technical expertise: strong understanding of software testing methodologies, automated testing, mobile application development, and iterative delivery practices

• Mobile testing: experience with cross-platform and cross-browser testing across iOS and Android

• Accessibility expertise: strong understanding of mobile accessibility standards, guidelines, and testing approaches, including use of assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, and speech recognition

• Systems thinking: experience testing complex, rules-heavy systems while considering technical implementation, accessibility, compliance, business processes, and operational realities

• Client leadership: ability to build trust with clients, communicate technical information clearly, understand stakeholder needs, and provide thoughtful recommendations

• Problem-solving: ability to navigate ambiguity, identify risks proactively, make sound decisions, and adapt testing approaches as requirements and priorities evolve

• Consulting mindset: ability to work collaboratively with clients and cross-functional teams while maintaining ownership of quality and testing outcomes

Compensation

Compensation for this role is an annualized salary range of $102,000 to $144,000 plus benefits and growth potential.

Placement within this range will be based on the competency level of the candidate. To ensure equity and consistency across our compensation system, MO applies a structured salary framework. Offers are made within the posted range based on demonstrated competency and experience. This range is non-negotiable to maintain internal and external pay equity.
