Senior Technical Writer- networking experience

Our client, a multinational company that provides networking solutions to power  business is looking for a senior technical writer  to join their  Wired Applications team.

The writer will  create and maintain technical documentation for complex networking and platform products, collaborate with global cross-functional teams, and independently manage deliverables across release cycles.

• Initial 12 month contract, with a view to longer term work

• Immediate start

• 100% remote work

Key Responsibilities

• Create, review, and maintain technical documentation including Command Reference, User Guide, Configuration Guide, Troubleshooting Guide, Release Notes, and Deployment Guide

• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams, proactively align on deliverables, and surface risks or blockers early — before they impact timelines

• Maintain documentation standards, templates, and information architecture in alignment with the Extreme Networks Style Guide

• Use structured authoring tools and CCMS platforms such as oXygen and Heretto

• Continuously improve existing content for clarity, consistency, and accuracy

• Drive content review and approval workflows with stakeholders, ensuring timely sign-off

• Manage project timelines independently, consistently meet deadlines, and communicate schedule risks proactively with recommended mitigations

• Prepare and submit documents for publishing in compliance with AI quality standards set by the User Enablement team

• Actively engage with AI-assisted documentation workflows, including prompt crafting, output review, and iterative refinement using tools such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and Rovo

• Champion a culture of proactive communication — anticipate information gaps, keep cross-functional partners informed without being asked, and raise issues through the right channels at the right time

The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator with deep technical writing expertise, networking domain knowledge, and hands-on experience with AI documentation tools such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and Rovo.
