Senior Solutions Engineer - Messaging APIs

We are looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to support a U.S.-based technology-focused organization working with messaging and communication APIs. This remote role is ideal for a technically strong, intellectually curious engineer with hands-on WhatsApp Business API experience who can evaluate partner integrations, lead technical client engagements, and improve technical processes and tooling.

Duties / Task to perform

• Review partner code and Postman collections to confirm integrations are fully built to technical specifications, not simply functional for demonstration purposes.
• Evaluate and score technical integration requirements against documented rubrics, ensuring consistent and defensible pass/fail decisions.
• Serve as the technical lead for multiple client engagements, collaborating with project and operational leads throughout the integration lifecycle.
• Independently manage the technical aspects of client projects while escalating appropriate issues to leadership.
• Provide clear updates on the technical status of assigned projects and identify recurring integration challenges.
• Recommend improvements to technical processes and products based on patterns observed across partner implementations.
• Contribute to vendor onboarding tooling for Apple APIs by proposing feature and code improvements based on real-world usage and technical reviews.
• Help improve technical review processes and internal tooling as you become familiar with existing workflows.

Requirements

• Senior-level Solutions Engineering capabilities with hands-on experience working with the WhatsApp Business API.
• Previous WhatsApp API experience with a major messaging platform, Business Solution Provider (BSP), or technology provider.
• Ability to review partner code, APIs, integrations, and Postman collections at a technical level.
• Strong understanding of API integration requirements and the ability to assess implementations against documented specifications.
• Ability to write and review code directly; AI tools should be used as support rather than as a substitute for hands-on technical capability.
• Ability to independently lead the technical aspects of multiple client projects and determine when escalation is necessary.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in improving technical processes and tooling.
• Fluent English with strong professional communication skills and familiarity with U.S. business culture expectations.
• Collaborative, intellectually curious, and comfortable working with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check.

Schedule & availability: Full-time, remote | Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM San Francisco time zone.
