You will design and build agentic LLM systems while owning the end-to-end development lifecycle from architecture to production. You will also collaborate with the team on software roadmaps and ensure the safety and observability of AI-driven systems.
iTmethods · Reign engineering · Remote (Canada or US) · Full time · Reports to VP Engineering
Reign is an AI governance platform for regulated enterprises. You are part of the team that builds it, and you deliver the result-oriented goals the team defines.
The team identifies work that can proceed in parallel. You take those items, own them end to end, and ship them through the same pipeline everyone uses.
What you will do
Deliver the goals the team defines, end to end, from design through merged code.
Propose and design systems that solve problems.
Build agentic LLM systems, where models plan, call tools, and act with limited supervision, and make them safe to run in production.
Work with the team on architecture design. Read the decisions, challenge them where you see a problem, and write your own when the work needs one.
Review the work of other engineers and of AI agents, and ask for the same on yours.
Participate in the planning and execution of software roadmaps.
Communicate progress and the current state of work clearly throughout the development lifecycle.
What you bring (required)
You deliver against goals, and you measure your work by the outcome, not the output.
You use and maintain design patterns, and you keep a codebase consistent as it grows.
You work with the team on architecture design, and you can carry a design from proposal to agreement.
You design for testability and observability, so others can verify your work and see what it does in production.
You have built and operated distributed systems and understand their trade-offs.
You use AI coding agents as a core part of how you work, and you can explain what they got wrong.
You recognize code patterns, and you understand how architecture drifts over time and what it takes to correct it.
Nice to have
You have built agentic LLM systems in production.
You have worked on audit, evidence, or compliance systems.
You have done security or compliance engineering in a regulated industry.
You have taken part in a written architecture decision process.
