Responsibilities

What you’ll be able to do:

Senior Software Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a purely telecommuting/work-from-home position whereby the employee may reside anywhere within the U.S.  Implementing platform and API solutions. Function in different roles within the team, from architect to high-skilled software developer and technical team leader, to consultant and product evangelist. End-to-end responsibility for the software services involving greater customer experiences and the platform supporting those experiences. Lead application architecture and whiteboarding sessions to design robust systems. Develop Spring Boot/Java APIs and microservices, leveraging both Azure and Google Cloud Platform services. A strong foundation in software engineering, with a focus on Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and the implementation of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Refactor APIs and microservices for simplification and efficiency, as well as integrating and expanding Identity Provider (IDP) services. Develop API load and performance strategies for a dedicated team, ensuring all software developed adheres to clean code principles. Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Checkmarx, and GitHub for deployment, improvement, and management is a must. This individual will thrive in an extreme software development environment utilizing the Kanban methodology and will be expected to mentor other software engineers in software craftsmanship, fostering their growth into future anchors within the team. 

Qualifications

You'll have... 

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 13 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.   10 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:  1. Utilizing Java to design and develop modular microservice architecture.  7 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:  1. Utilizing Java Spring Boot framework to support code development. 2. Designing and developing Rest API to support modular microservice architecture.   5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:  1. Utilizing NoSQL and SQL database technologies and databases including MongoDB, MySQL and data modeling.  3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:  1. Using JWT token and OAuth 2.0.  2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:  1. Configuring cloud infrastructure including Google Cloud, Azure Container App, or PCF.

We are offering a salary of $147,077.00 - $184,338.84/yr.
