Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in Copado to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce environments. The role focuses on automation, release management, environment strategy, and DevOps best practices to enable faster, reliable, and secure deployments.
Key Responsibilities
1. DevOps Strategy & Implementation
- Define and implement Salesforce DevOps strategy using Copado
- Establish best practices for:
- Version control
- Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
- Drive DevOps maturity across teams
2. Copado Configuration & Management
- Configure and manage:
- Copado pipelines
- User stories and commits
- Promotion paths across environments
- Customize Copado workflows and automation
3. CI/CD Pipeline Management
- Build and maintain pipelines for:
- Automated builds
- Testing and deployments
- Integrate with tools:
- Git (GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab)
- Jenkins / Azure DevOps (if hybrid setup)
- Enable automated validation and rollback mechanisms
4. Environment & Release Management
- Manage Salesforce environments:
- Dev, QA, UAT, Staging, Production
- Handle:
- Environment strategy
- Sandbox management
- Refresh cycles
- Plan and execute release cycles
5. Version Control & Branching Strategy
- Implement and manage:
- Git branching strategies (feature, release, hotfix)
- Ensure proper versioning and traceability
- Resolve merge conflicts and deployment issues
6. Automation & Quality Gates
- Automate:
- Code quality checks (PMD, SonarQube)
- Unit testing and validation
- Enforce quality gates:
- Test coverage
- Static code analysis
- Integrate QA processes into pipelines
7. Deployment & Troubleshooting
- Perform and monitor deployments using Copado
- Troubleshoot:
- Deployment failures
- Metadata conflicts
- Ensure minimal downtime and zero-defect releases
8. Security & Compliance
- Ensure secure deployments:
- Role-based access
- Audit trails
- Maintain compliance with organizational standards
9. Collaboration & Leadership
- Work with:
- Developers, QA, Architects
- Release Managers
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
