Senior React Native Developer

Our client is looking for a Senior React Native Developer to join their engineering team and build, enhance, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android.

This role is ideal for a strong mobile engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, building scalable applications, and collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams. You will have the opportunity to contribute to technical decisions, improve application performance, and help deliver reliable mobile experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript.
• Build and deliver new features for both iOS and Android.
• Translate product requirements and designs into scalable, maintainable mobile solutions.
• Integrate REST APIs, third-party services, authentication, analytics, and other backend systems.
• Improve application performance, stability, and overall user experience.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and production issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to mobile architecture and technical decision-making.
• Monitor application performance and reliability using appropriate debugging and monitoring tools.
• Stay current with React Native, iOS, Android, and mobile development best practices.
• Mentor other developers and contribute to a strong engineering culture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on React Native experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Proven experience building and shipping production applications for both iOS and Android.
• Strong understanding of React and React Native architecture and best practices.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Experience with mobile state management and application architecture.
• Experience writing automated tests for mobile applications.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Experience with Git and modern development workflows.
• Understanding of the App Store and Google Play release processes.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must be in Latam.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Expo and EAS.
• Experience with Swift/iOS or Kotlin/Android.
• React Native New Architecture, JSI, TurboModules, or native modules.
• Experience with mobile CI/CD.
• Experience with Jest, React Native Testing Library, or Detox.
• Experience with Firebase, push notifications, analytics, or deep linking.
• Experience with Sentry, Datadog, or similar monitoring tools.
• Previous experience mentoring or leading developers.
