Overview

At Publicis Sapient, Quality Engineering is at the heart of how we build trusted, high-performing digital platforms for the world’s leading financial institutions. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and performance of asset management and financial services platforms, combining hands-on automation with strong manual testing expertise.

This is a hybrid QE role—not tool-driven, but domain-driven. While the automation stack is flexible (Selenium or Playwright using Java, Python, or .NET), deep experience in financial services and asset management systems is essential.

Responsibilities

Your Impact

Quality Strategy & Test Execution

• Design and execute end-to-end testing strategies for complex financial systems, balancing manual and automated testing approaches.

• Create comprehensive test plans and reusable test cases derived from business requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Execute functional, system, regression, integration, and performance testing across APIs, databases, and UI layers.

Automation Engineering

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation test suites at the API, database, and UI layers.

• Contribute to and extend enterprise automation frameworks, ensuring scalability and maintainability.

• Implement end-to-end automated scenarios covering critical financial workflows and regulatory-sensitive processes.

• Collaborate with QE Architects and Automation Engineers on test design, tooling, and best practices.

Financial Domain Validation

• Validate investment and asset management workflows, including data integrity, calculations, and business rules.

• Test applications supporting Equity, Fixed Income, and Derivatives asset classes.

• Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure testing aligns with real-world financial use cases and risk scenarios.

Agile Collaboration & Reporting

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Partner with developers, product owners, and business analysts to clarify requirements and quality expectations.

• Provide clear, concise, and data-driven test results, including defect analysis, risk assessment, and recommendations.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

Required

• 6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering within an Agile environment.

• 3+ years of experience in Financial Services, with solid knowledge of:

  • Asset Management platforms

  • Equity, Fixed Income, and Derivatives asset classes

• Strong manual testing fundamentals, including test case design, execution, and defect lifecycle management.

• Hands-on experience with test automation, using one or more of the following:

  • Selenium or Playwright

  • Java, Python, or .NET

• Strong SQL skills with experience validating complex financial and investment data.

• Experience testing API-based and microservices architectures.

• Ability to translate business and regulatory requirements into effective testing strategies.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional Scrum teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with investment compliance systems or regulatory-driven platforms.

• Exposure to performance testing tools and techniques.

• Experience working in large-scale, enterprise financial environments.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test execution in automated delivery workflows.
