The Senior Quality Engineer will develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality throughout the development lifecycle. Responsibilities include managing production release testing, maintaining the automation framework, and reporting status to clients.
About the Job
As a Senior Quality Engineer at Aspire, you will develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. You will be an integral part of our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs while being cost-effective.
What you'll do
Review and comprehend User Stories for the assigned projects and send any questions or required clarifications directly to the client.
Ensure the full understanding of the requirements among the testing team.
Develop and maintain high-level test cases and scenarios.
Ensure timely testing for each build as required by the client.
Provide status reports to the client as required.
Develop the production release testing plan and manage the testing on the day of the production release.
Identify suitable test scenarios for automation and develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases using Tricentis Tosca.
Contribute to the continuous improvement and maintenance of the test automation framework and automated test suites.
Analyze automation results, investigate failures, and report and track defects as required.
What you'll need
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in software testing, including hands-on experience in Web and Mobile testing.
Extensive experience in Web and Mobile testing.
Strong expertise in API testing and validating API responses.
Experience in Database testing.
Hands-on experience in test automation using Tricentis Tosca.
Experience in designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test cases.
Ability to understand and analyze complex software requirements and specifications.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and defect management tools such as Jira is a plus.
Awareness or knowledge of IT security best practices as defined by ISO/SOC or similar standards.
