Role Overview

We are looking for experienced public policy, political science, and government affairs professionals to support the training and evaluation of advanced AI systems. The role focuses on creating and reviewing complex policy scenarios that test AI capabilities in regulatory analysis, stakeholder assessment, political systems, public administration, and evidence-based decision-making.

This opportunity is best suited to senior professionals who can assess the practical impact of policies and regulations, weigh competing stakeholder interests, and translate complex evidence into clear and actionable recommendations.

CONTRACT: Short-term contractor assignment, up to 9 weeks

COMMITMENT: At least 4 hours per day and up to 40 hours per week, including 4 hours of PST overlap

LOCATIONS: Remote from approved US states

PROCESS: Short Practical Assignment

Key Responsibilities

  • Create high-difficulty policy and political-analysis tasks based on realistic professional scenarios.
  • Develop accurate, well-reasoned gold-standard solutions.
  • Analyze public policies, regulations, political systems, and institutional decision-making.
  • Assess the economic, social, legal, and operational impact of proposed or existing regulations.
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis and identify competing interests, incentives, and policy trade-offs.
  • Review AI-generated outputs for accuracy, analytical quality, practicality, and completeness.
  • Translate complex research, evidence, and policy considerations into clear recommendations.
  • Review and calibrate other contributors’ work against established quality standards.
  • Identify genuine edge cases and ambiguous evaluation criteria.
  • Escalate complex issues and rubric ambiguities to the functional expert lead.

Requirements

  • Approximately 5–15 years of professional experience in public policy, political science, public administration, government affairs, or a closely related field.
  • Advanced degree such as an MPP, MPA, PhD, or equivalent postgraduate qualification in public policy, political science, economics, public administration, or a related discipline.
  • Strong expertise in regulatory impact analysis.
  • Proven ability to assess economic, social, legal, and operational implications of policy or regulatory decisions.
  • Strong experience conducting stakeholder analysis and evaluating competing interests.
  • Ability to synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative evidence into practical recommendations.
  • Strong written English and professional analytical writing skills.
  • Availability for at least 4 hours per day with 4 hours of PST overlap.
