Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Program Manager (Level M), Chief of Staff, to join its dynamic division leadership team in a virtual capacity.

Reporting to the Space, Intelligence & Weapon Systems (SIWS) Vice President and General Manager, this role supports senior leadership in developing and executing long-range strategies, organizational goals, objectives, and initiatives while helping run the business from an operational and profit-and-loss perspective. The Chief of Staff will gain experience leading and engaging a large organization, driving corporate-level projects and activities, managing change, and building strong relationships with internal and external senior leaders and customers.

Success in this position requires exceptional leadership, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, along with the ability to build effective, trusted business relationships. Demonstrated leadership aligned with the Boeing Values and Behaviors, a positive and flexible attitude, and the ability to maintain absolute trust and confidentiality are essential.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic advisor and execution partner to the Vice President/General Manager, translating priorities into actionable plans and driving alignment across the organization

  • Assess strategic priorities and organizational focus, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead the implementation of recommendations

  • Establish and manage the operating rhythm for the organization, ensuring disciplined execution, clear accountability, and effective decision-making

  • Lead the planning and facilitation of executive meetings, large-scale events, and leadership forums; develop and consolidate executive-level briefings and decision-support materials

  • Monitor progress on key actions, projects, and initiatives; synthesize status, surface risks, and communicate updates to leadership in a timely and effective manner

  • Coordinate internal leadership meetings and external engagements with high-level customers and stakeholders

  • Facilitate communication and alignment across SIWS senior leadership, program teams, and supporting organizations; ensure adherence to Boeing processes and compliance requirements

  • Gather, analyze, and consolidate input from program staff to support reporting to senior leadership and Boeing Corporate

  • Support the Vice President/General Manager and Program Office in advancing execution, communication, customer engagement, and organizational effectiveness

  • Lead special assignments, cross-functional initiatives, and strategic projects as directed by the Vice President/General Manager

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 5+ years of Program Management, project management and/or Business Operations experience

  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • 5+ years of experience leading projects

  • 5+ years of experience working with executive leadership

  • 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Understanding of the BDS and SIWS business environment

  • Experience in analyzing and synthesizing data

  • Professional experience in a leadership role (formal or informal)

Travel:
Position may require travel up to 30% of the time.

Summary Pay Range: $165,750 - $258,750
