Reap is a global financial technology company headquartered in Hong Kong with employees across multiple countries. We enable financial connectivity and access for businesses worldwide by combining traditional finance with stablecoins for efficient money movement.
Through our stablecoin-powered corporate cards, payments, and expense management tools, we streamline financial operations and help businesses scale. Our APIs enable businesses to integrate stablecoin-enabled finance into their own products and services—from issuing Visa cards to facilitating cross-border payments.
Backed by leading investors including Acorn Pacific, Index Ventures and HashKey Capital, Reap is building the future of borderless, stablecoin-enabled finance.
We're looking for a Senior Product Engineer who's fluent in TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS, and thrives in fast-moving, product-focused engineering teams.
You'll be building the next generation of Reap's embedded finance infrastructure — powering stablecoin-backed payments, credit, and card services for global businesses. This is a high-ownership role where engineers design features end-to-end: from writing the PRD, to architecting the solution, to shipping and operating it in production.
Own features end-to-end: write the spec, design the solution, build it, and operate it in production.
Design, build, and maintain backend services in Node.js / TypeScript (NestJS or Elysia) for high-performance APIs and async jobs.
Work with AWS cloud-native services (Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, Aurora, S3, CloudWatch) for scalable, resilient architectures.
Manage data storage and synchronization, working with Postgres and Aurora.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and security practices.
Collaborate directly with product and business stakeholders — no PM layer, no hand-holding.
Leverage AI tools and modern development practices to drive engineering velocity.
5+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
Deep expertise with Node.js and TypeScript, including RESTful API design and async job patterns.
Strong product sense — ability to take end-to-end ownership of a feature from idea to production.
Proven hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, SQS, Aurora, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, etc.).
Strong SQL fundamentals and experience with relational databases.
Familiarity with event-driven and serverless architectures.
Clear communication and ability to work autonomously in a fully remote, async team.
Demonstrated use of AI tools to boost development efficiency.
Experience building B2B API-based platforms or infrastructure products.
Background in fintech, payments, or card issuing.
Curiosity about Web3, stablecoins, or the Web2 ↔ Web3 intersection.
Startup experience where you've worn multiple hats.
