We are looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Accountant to take ownership of payroll accounting and payroll-related operations across multiple jurisdictions. As part of the Accounting team, you will be responsible for payroll calculations for selected entities, payroll-related reconciliations, coordination of external payroll providers and service partners, and ensuring the accuracy of personnel-related expenses. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting background who understands payroll processes, enjoys improving operational efficiency, and is comfortable working in a dynamic international environment where processes continue to evolve.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Calculate payroll and personnel-related expenses for assigned entities
  • Coordinate payroll-related activities across multiple jurisdictions and legal entities
  • Partner closely with HR, Legal, Treasury and Tax teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Perform payroll-related account reconciliations and support month-end closing activities
  • Manage communication with external payroll providers, accounting firms, EORs, and other service providers

  • Ensure payroll data is complete, accurate, and delivered within established deadlines
  • Work with payroll software and related systems to support payroll operations and reporting
  • Create, document, and improve payroll processes, controls, and workflows
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process enhancements to improve operational effectiveness and scalability
  • Support payroll-related audits by providing required payroll documentation, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Resolve payroll-related issues and manage ad hoc operational requests in a timely manner

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN YOU

  • 6+ years of accounting experience, including significant exposure to payroll accounting and personnel-related expenses
  • Strong understanding of payroll accounting, reconciliations, accruals, controls, and month-end close processes
  • Experience working with external payroll providers, outsourced teams, EORs and other service providers
  • General understanding of payroll-related tax and compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting payroll operations across multiple jurisdictions. Familiarity with payroll requirements in the UAE and UK is an advantage; willingness to learn and navigate country-specific requirements is essential
  • Proven ability to establish, streamline, and improve processes in a fast-growing or evolving environment
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience working with payroll software, EOR platforms and ERP systems (e.g. Oracle NetSuite)
  • Team player with a proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset
