Position Overview

Fathom Management is seeking an experienced Sr. Integration Developer to design, develop, and support scalable enterprise integrations across applications, APIs, data platforms, and cloud environments.

The successful candidate will combine strong backend development, API integration, and architecture skills with the ability to establish integration standards, design patterns, and technical best practices. This position will work across the full integration lifecycle-from solution design and development through testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.

Current Technical Architecture & Development Experience

Candidates should demonstrate recent, hands-on experience with several of the following:

• Designing end-to-end integration solutions spanning backend services, APIs, integration layers, and cloud infrastructure
• Backend services and API development using Python, Java, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript
• Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud environments and cloud-native deployment practices
• RESTful APIs and other API technologies, including SOAP and/or GraphQL
• Enterprise integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Apigee, Kong, Workato, BizTalk, or comparable technologies
• Integration patterns including event-driven, pub/sub, hub-and-spoke, point-to-point, ESB, and iPaaS
• API security including OAuth2, JWT, SAML, and API keys
• Message queues, asynchronous processing, and event streaming
• Data mapping, transformation, orchestration, and exchange across heterogeneous systems
• CI/CD pipelines and multi-environment deployments
• Architecture diagrams, technical specifications, data mappings, configuration documentation, and technical standards

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience using one or more modern programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and architectural styles.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing APIs and system integrations.
• Experience with RESTful services, SOAP, and/or GraphQL.
• Working knowledge of API security, authentication, authorization, versioning, throttling/rate limiting, and error handling.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or GCP, including cloud-native architecture and deployment practices.
• Solid understanding of data mapping, transformation, orchestration, and integration across disparate systems.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including development, testing, CI/CD, and deployment.
• Experience supporting deployments across multiple environments, such as Development, Test, UAT, and Production.
• Ability to establish or apply integration standards, design patterns, and development best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with technical and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Experience with Azure integration services and cloud-native architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end integration solutions spanning backend services, APIs, integration layers, and cloud infrastructure.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable integration solutions.
• Build scalable backend services and APIs using modern programming languages and/or enterprise integration platforms.
• Design and implement secure RESTful and enterprise APIs connecting internal and third-party systems.
• Apply appropriate integration patterns, including event-driven, asynchronous, pub/sub, ESB, and iPaaS architectures.
• Implement API security, authentication, authorization, versioning, throttling, and error-handling standards.
• Develop data mapping, transformation, and orchestration solutions across heterogeneous systems.
• Build, test, and deploy integration processes throughout the Dev, Test, UAT, and Production lifecycle.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Monitor integration performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide expert-level post-deployment production support.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams, technical specifications, data mappings, configuration documentation, and other technical artifacts.
• Define and promote integration design patterns, technical standards, and development best practices.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, business stakeholders, and other technical teams to optimize data flows and integration solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development teams as needed.
