Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Gerrit Code Review Expert to support the modernization and migration of the existing Gerrit environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the existing Gerrit setup, configuration, plugins and usage.
- Assess version, performance and modernization requirements.
- Define and execute the update/migration strategy.
- Plan and conduct a PoC for the new Gerrit environment.
- Configure and implement the new environment.
- Migrate repositories and code review workflows.
- Integrate Gerrit into existing CI/CD pipelines and developer toolchains.
- Define security and permission concepts.
- Train development teams and provide knowledge transfer.
- Create operational documentation.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience with Gerrit Code Review.
- Experience with Gerrit administration, configuration and migration.
- Knowledge of Git-based development environments.
- Experience integrating Gerrit with CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of security, permissions and access management.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Fluent German and English.
- Automotive experience is a plus.
Important: Practical project experience is mandatory; theoretical knowledge alone is not sufficient.
