Senior Fullstack Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Developer with a strong application engineering background to build scalable, data-intensive solutions across backend services and modern frontend applications.

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who is highly proficient in Python, React, and TypeScript and comfortable working within complex, data-heavy environments. You will collaborate closely with engineering stakeholders to transform backend logic, data validation rules, and AI-enabled capabilities into reliable and maintainable user-facing products.

We are particularly interested in engineers who are comfortable with terminal-first development and who actively incorporate AI-assisted coding tools into their workflow while maintaining strong engineering judgment around architecture, scalability, and code quality.

• Location: Remote position within LATAM.
• Contract Duration: 6-month contract.
• Language Requirement: Advanced English.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using Python.
• Develop responsive frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
• Build application interfaces and services that surface, validate, and resolve issues across complex and data-intensive systems.
• Work with data originating from data lakes, ETL processes, validation logic, and model outputs at the application layer.
• Work with PostgreSQL, including database migrations and performance-sensitive queries.
• Package and manage applications using Docker.
• Work within existing GraphQL environments and support migrations toward REST-based architectures when appropriate.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate implementation while critically evaluating generated solutions for maintainability and scalability.
• Collaborate directly with engineering stakeholders to clarify functional and non-functional requirements.
• Work effectively within terminal-centric Mac/Linux development environments.
• Contribute technical perspectives and challenge short-term solutions when a more scalable or maintainable approach is required.

What you'll bring

• 5–7 years of full-stack software development experience.
• Strong production experience with Python and frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
• Strong experience with TypeScript and React.
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL, relational databases, and database migrations.
• Strong experience designing and working with REST APIs.
• Experience working with GraphQL-based applications or APIs.
• Demonstrated experience building or maintaining data-heavy applications involving large datasets or performance-sensitive application queries.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies.
• High comfort working in Mac/Linux environments using terminal-based workflows, Bash, and Makefiles.
• Strong system design and software engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to hold and defend technical opinions while remaining pragmatic and delivery-focused.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken.

What will make you stand out

• Experience with S3-backed data lakes and AWS Athena.
• Exposure to Trino/Presto, BigQuery, Spark SQL, or similar data technologies.
• Familiarity with DAG-based orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or AWS Step Functions.
• Data engineering exposure, including ETL pipelines, advanced SQL, data validation, or query optimization.
• Experience with Redis or DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with Nx, Poetry, UV, or other modern package management and monorepo tooling.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock or similar AI/LLM platforms and SDKs.
• Experience with marketing data structures, campaign management APIs, or digital advertising metrics.
