Innosphere is seeking Senior Full Stack Developers to join a high-impact database modernization initiative. The team will be responsible for migrating an enterprise SQL Server environment to PostgreSQL while modernizing supporting application components and cloud infrastructure. This role is ideal for senior engineers who have hands-on experience with complex database migrations, cloud-native development, and modern AWS environments. As part of the migration effort, some developers will also contribute to replacing the existing database access layer, including development in C++, to support the new PostgreSQL architecture.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of enterprise SQL Server databases to PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity, performance, and minimal downtime.
- Convert and optimize SQL Server database objects, including stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, and complex T-SQL logic into PostgreSQL/PL/pgSQL.
- Design, execute, and support database migration strategies using AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), Schema Conversion Tool (SCT), and replication/CDC-based cutover methodologies.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services using C# and, where applicable, Node.js.
- Contribute to the modernization of the application data access layer, including development in C++ where required.
- Build and support cloud-native applications and services within AWS, leveraging technologies such as Lambda, ECS, SQS, EventBridge, CloudFront, ALB, and Aurora PostgreSQL.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and support automated deployment pipelines through GitLab CI/CD.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver migration milestones and platform enhancements.
- Contribute to application regression testing using Jest and Playwright where applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 7+ years of professional full stack software development experience.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, SQL Agent, and query optimization.
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL, including rewriting complex procedural logic.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server to PostgreSQL migrations, including:
- AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)
- AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT)
- Change Data Capture (CDC) and replication-based cutovers
- Data migration validation and reconciliation (row-level, aggregate, and business-rule validation)
- Strong backend development experience with C# and experience with Node.js.
- Experience working with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and DynamoDB.
- Strong experience with AWS services, including Aurora/RDS PostgreSQL, Lambda, ECS, SQS, CloudFront, ALB, and EventBridge.
- Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building front-end applications using React.
- Experience with Jest and Playwright for automated testing.
- Experience with C++, particularly for data layer or database integration.
- Experience working on large-scale cloud-native or enterprise migration projects.
