Senior Frontend Software Engineer (Angular) with German

One of our clients operates prominently in the financial sector, where we enhance operations across their extensive network of 150,000 workstations and support a workforce of 4,500 employees. Our IT solutions ensure streamlined processes and heightened security, enabling them to maintain leadership in financial technology. 

The project team is responsible for the further development of applications for cash transactions at the bank.
The software we develop is used by employees at the teller window and supports cash handling, in particular: deposits, withdrawals and other cash-related transactions at the teller window. 

The focus is on stable, intuitive, and high-performance front-end solutions that efficiently support the daily work of bank employees.

Responsibilities 

• Tailor client solutions: Conduct research, assessments, and recommend efficient and robust software solutions tailored to client needs
• Deliver high-quality code: Ensure the delivery of high-quality code that meets requirements, with a focus on performance
• Drive Continuous Improvement: You will proactively identify areas for improvement in existing programs and lead refactoring efforts
• Team collaboration: Collaborate closely with software engineers, product owners, team managers, and clients
• Provide client consultancy: Offer technical consultancy services to clients to ensure solutions meet their requirements
• Nurture Knowledge: Mentor colleagues to enhance their skills and knowledge

Must Have:

• 5+ years of experience in web application development using JavaScript/TypeScript and common libraries/frameworks (Angular, RxJS, Angular Material), as well as SCSS/CSS and HTML best practices
• Experience with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum / SAFe) and collaboration within cross-functional squads
• Knowledge of client-server communication, protocols, and REST principles
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git, Atlassian tools, or similar)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including debugging and performance testing
• Interest in and proficiency with XP practices (pair programming, TDD, DDD, simple design, etc.)
• Ability to adapt strategies and working methods to specific project contexts
• Experience in analyzing project requirements and delivering reliable solutions for various components
• Excellent communication skills in English and German, both for team collaboration and client interaction

Nice to Have: 

• Knowledge of frameworks and adjacent technologies used in projects (NodeJS, Docker, etc.)
• Willingness and experience in developing colleagues with lower seniority, fostering a collaborative team environment
• Application lifecycle and CI/CD knowledge
• Security and UI/UX experience
