Senior Frontend Engineer

About the role

We create the tools that power people chasing a sound. You'll build the experiences that get them there.

We're hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer for the Output One product squad, working on the core Output suite of tools: Arcade, Co-Producer, and Creator, and new products still taking shape. This is hands-on product work: partnering closely with product and design, moving ideas from concept to shipped experience, and iterating on the things customers use in their studios every day.

You'll also share ownership of Output's web surface: helping maintain and support Output’s customer facing website, checkout, authentication, account management, and subscriptions, and keeping that revenue-critical path healthy.

The short version: you own delivery start to finish. You build it, you ship it, you make it great.

What you'll do

• Build and ship customer-facing product experiences across Output One - Arcade, Co-Producer, Creator, and new product exploration - as a core member of the product squad.

• Develop and instrument AI forward engineering and collaboration workflows to deliver features and experiences

• Partner closely with product and design to turn concepts into polished, shipped features, and iterate based on how customers use them.

• Lead high-impact frontend initiatives from concept through delivery, working independently and making sound technical calls.

• Participate fully in product squad ceremonies - planning, standups, reviews, and retros - and help shape what the team builds.

• Provide shared support for Output's Web surface as needed (marketing site, checkout, authentication, account management, subscriptions)

• Contribute to - and help set - Output's frontend engineering best practices: performance, accessibility, automated testing, and monitoring.

What you'll need

• 6+ years building and shipping production, customer-facing frontend applications.

• A track record of product engineering - shipping and iterating on user-facing features, ideally in a product squad working closely with product and design.

• Deep proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and a component-driven framework (React preferred), plus strong HTML/CSS fundamentals.

• Fluency and expertise in agentic coding and AI driven work models.

• A history of independently owning a product area and leading initiatives rather than just executing tickets.

• Strong instincts for UX and design detail, and for building experiences that feel great to use.

• Real strength in web performance and page optimization (asynchronous/lazy loading, caching, media queries).

• Solid grasp of RESTful API integration, and comfort with version control (Git) and collaborative workflows.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the judgment to work autonomously across teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with interactive or audio-driven web apps (Web Audio, Canvas/WebGL, real-time UI) - close to the kind of product work Output does.

• Experience owning revenue-critical or high-traffic surfaces (checkout, authentication, subscriptions/billing), plus SEO and headless CMS familiarity for the Web side.

• Mentorship or technical-leadership experience.

• A passion for democratizing music-making and empowering creators.
