Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, Infrastructure

About the Role

Join an AI/ML infrastructure team to lead deployments of machine learning software in enterprise customer environments, from cloud VPCs to on-premises infrastructure. You will work directly with customer engineering teams to solve complex deployment challenges and build repeatable patterns for future deployments.

What You'll Do

• Plan, configure, test, and roll out deployments across customer VPC and on-premises environments.

• Partner with customer IT, security, and platform teams, communicating clearly with engineers and senior leaders.

• Diagnose and resolve Kubernetes configuration, cloud IAM, networking, and other infrastructure issues in real time.

• Build monitoring, telemetry, and automation that turn one-off deployment work into scalable processes.

• Understand the hardware needs of machine learning models and deploy them on customer-controlled infrastructure.

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or SRE, with production ownership of cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure.

• Deep production expertise with Kubernetes and Terraform, plus experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, Docker, Helm, Linux, networking, and cloud IAM.

• Experience deploying software into customer-controlled environments, such as VPC, air-gapped, or on-premises setups.

• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills, including experience diagnosing issues with external customer engineering teams.

• Python skills and familiarity with GPU infrastructure and deployment tooling such as KOTS are valuable.

• A record of high-impact infrastructure ownership, such as work in a high-growth environment, significant open-source contributions, or founding-engineer scope.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $200,000 to $300,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
