AI Summary

Translate real-world electrical workflows into product requirements and validation checks to automate repetitive preconstruction tasks. Define how electrical scope is developed and validated during FEED to reduce rework and improve efficiency.

What We’re Building

Candid is building the AI layer for EPCs.

We use AI to reduce the manual effort behind preconstruction engineering by automating document understanding, consistency checks, and repetitive workflow steps across major disciplines. Our goal is to make preconstruction 10x faster without sacrificing engineering quality.

We recently raised $6.5M from top AI and industrial investors (including Schneider Electric and Meta’s Chief AI Scientist). Our team includes engineers from MIT, Carnegie Mellon, major LNG and power projects, and leading EPCs.

What You Will Do

You will help us translate real electrical workflows into product requirements and validation checks:

  • Define how electrical scope is developed and validated during FEED

  • Review and validate electrical inputs and equipment requirements across early phase packages

  • Create repeatable checks that catch inconsistencies across load assumptions, equipment needs, and package interfaces

  • Map where electrical rework happens and what typically causes it

  • Clarify interfaces with Mechanical packages, Instrumentation, and overall project constraints

  • Identify which steps are repetitive vs which require real engineering judgement

Your experience will help define the checks, workflows, and product requirements that let software take on the repetitive parts, with engineers in control.

What We Are Looking For

  • 7+ years at an EPC, PMC, or owner operator

  • Strong understanding of FEED and early detailed design electrical workflows

  • Experience with typical downstream electrical deliverables (load lists, equipment requirements, distribution concepts)

  • Knowledge of NFPA, IEC, IEEE, or similar standards

  • Ability to spot inconsistencies across equipment requirements and vendor packages

  • Clear understanding of cross discipline dependencies

Nice to Have

  • Experience with brownfield tie ins and constrained power systems

  • Familiarity with hazardous area driven requirements in downstream facilities

  • Interest in AI or automation

Perks

  • Meaningful base + equity

  • Unlimited PTO: We believe great work requires recharging.

  • Insurance: Generous health insurance covering medical, dental, and vision.

  • Health and Wellness Budget: We provide up to $150/mo reimbursement for health and
wellness spending, such as gym memberships, fitness classes, or similar.
