About the role
Provide deep technical expertise in Naval power and energy systems, including hardware performance, physics, and component controls, and supervisory system controls
Deliver client-facing models, simulations, and reports
Develop, test, and validate software for supervisory control of Naval power systems
What you'll do
Develop software to implement supervisory controls for power systems
Support technical execution of power system modeling & simulation projects
Build and validate models using MATLAB/Simulink
Build and validate models for real-time simulation environments for use in hardware-in-the-loop environments
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoW Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
8+ years of professional experience in electrical power systems and/or microgrids
Deep expertise with MATLAB/Simulink
Experience with supervisory control methods for power systems, especially maritime systems (e.g., machinery control systems, electric plant control systems)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to deliver clear technical reports and concise briefings to stakeholders
