Senior Director, US HCP Marketing and Omnichannel, Obesity and Related Conditions

In this vital role the Senior Director, US HCP Marketing and Omnichannel will lead US healthcare professional marketing strategy and execution across Obesity and Related Conditions. This role is responsible for personal promotion, omnichannel engagement, digital marketing, training, and field marketing programs that support launch readiness and sustain commercial growth.

This leader will oversee the development of integrated HCP engagement plans, ensure alignment across customer touchpoints, and lead a high performing team focused on delivering impactful customer experiences and business results.

A critical component of this role is partnering closely with patient marketing leadership to ensure a coordinated and integrated customer engagement strategy across healthcare professionals and patients. This leader will help ensure consistent campaign execution, aligned messaging, and seamless customer experiences across all marketing channels and touchpoints.

The Senior Director, US HCP Marketing and Omnichannel is responsible for leading HCP marketing strategy, personal promotion, omnichannel engagement, digital marketing, training, and field execution readiness across the U.S. obesity portfolio. The role oversees the development and execution of integrated HCP engagement plans while ensuring alignment with brand strategy, customer needs, and business objectives.

This leader will be accountable for building and leading a high performing team, developing customer engagement capabilities, and driving execution across launch and growth stage brands.

Lead HCP Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and lead the U.S. HCP marketing strategy across the obesity portfolio.
  • Translate brand strategy, positioning, and messaging into customer focused engagement plans.
  • Define HCP segmentation, targeting, and engagement strategies.
  • Leverage customer insights, analytics, and market intelligence to continuously optimize strategy and execution.
  • Establish performance metrics and measurement frameworks to assess effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with patient marketing leadership to ensure HCP and patient strategies are aligned and mutually reinforcing across the customer journey.
  • Ensure coordinated campaign planning, messaging, and execution across HCP and patient marketing initiatives.

Lead Personal Promotion and Field Marketing

  • Lead strategy, development, and execution of personal promotion programs and field marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee development of sales materials, training resources, promotional tools, and customer engagement programs.
  • Ensure field teams are equipped with effective resources that support execution excellence.
  • Partner closely with sales leadership to align marketing strategy, field readiness, and customer engagement priorities.
  • Lead development of National Sales Meeting content and promotional initiatives that support launch and business objectives.

Lead Omnichannel and Digital Marketing

  • Lead the omnichannel engagement strategy across HCP customer segments.
  • Oversee digital marketing programs, HCP websites, email campaigns, and non-personal promotion initiatives.
  • Ensure coordinated customer engagement across personal, digital, and emerging channels.
  • Partner with analytics and omnichannel teams to optimize channel performance and customer experience.
  • Partner with patient marketing teams to create integrated omnichannel strategies across HCP and consumer audiences.
  • Drive innovation in customer engagement approaches, capabilities, and marketing technologies.

Build Organizational Capability and Drive Execution Excellence

  • Build and lead a high performing HCP marketing and omnichannel organization.
  • Establish clear priorities, operating models, and ways of working that support launch readiness and sustained growth.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Medical Affairs, Analytics, Compliance, Regulatory, Market Access, and Global teams.
  • Ensure marketing programs are executed effectively, on time, and in alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide strategic recommendations and business updates to senior leadership.

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 5 years of marketing experience

OR

Master’s degree and 9 years of marketing experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 11 years of marketing experience

In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have at least 5 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources.  Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Significant experience leading HCP marketing, personal promotion, omnichannel engagement, digital marketing, and field marketing within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Proven success leading commercialization efforts for major product launches, launch readiness activities, or high growth brands.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated HCP marketing strategies across personal, digital, and non personal channels.
  • Experience leading the development of sales materials, promotional campaigns, training programs, and field engagement strategies that drive commercial performance.
  • Demonstrated success building and leading high performing marketing organizations and developing top talent.
  • Strong understanding of omnichannel marketing, customer engagement strategy, digital marketing, and marketing analytics.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with sales leadership and drive alignment between marketing strategy and field execution.
  • Experience leading complex cross functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders in highly matrixed organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate HCP and patient marketing strategies to create cohesive customer experiences and maximize business impact.
  • Strong executive communication, strategic planning, and organizational leadership skills.
  • Track record of delivering results in fast paced, high visibility, and high accountability environments.
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with operational excellence and execution discipline.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
