DESCRIPTION:

Reporting into the EVP of Scientific Affairs, IDEOlogy Health is looking for a creative, passionate, and energetic Senior Director Scientific Affairs to serve as a team lead, contribute to scientific and medical content and the execution of various IDEOlogy Health projects. You will work collaboratively with the scientific affairs team and other members of the IDEOlogy team including business development, operations, and marketing to assure proper quality and timely delivery of assigned projects. Business travel will be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as the player-coach and day-to-day lead for hematology-focused Scientific Affairs team, balancing team leadership responsibilities with direct contribution to scientific deliverables.
• Manage assigned team workload and project priorities, ensuring timely delivery of scientific content and related deliverables.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, onboarding support, and professional development opportunities for members of the hematology team
• Partner with EVP Scientific Affairs to communicate team resource needs, workload concerns, and development opportunities.
• Contribute to the development of content, including slides and multimedia assets, in cooperation with key faculty
• Contribute to the development of post- event reports and/or executive summaries
• Generation high-quality scientific content with concise scientific writing and accurate, balanced representation of clinical data
• Review assigned deliverables for scientific accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company standards before final submission
• Collaborate with other IDEOlogy business functions to support successful project execution
• Support the development of innovative medical education initiatives that meet market, learner, and client needs
• Maintain current knowledge of disease states, emerging data, and clinical management to support content development and team education
• Adhere to internal operational procedures throughout the content generation and review process
• Demonstrate flexibility to work outside of regular business office hours and travel when business needs warrant

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Advanced degree preferred (MA, NP, PA, PharmD, PhD). Minimum bachelor’s degree in life sciences, such as biology, chemistry or nursing. Background in hematology/oncology required.
• 3+ years of experience working in hematology/oncology
• 3+ years of medical education experience
• Experience in the development of scientific content
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
• Strong writing/editing/proofreading skills
• Ability to translate scientific information into effective verbal and visual practical communication
• Excellent writing skills and strong visual eye
• Technology skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Powerpoint)
• Customer focused
• Must work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Must be a self-starter, who takes initiative
• Comfortable at presenting and communicating to all levels of the organization
• Accurate and detail oriented with excellent time management skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Publication experience a plus
• Digital asset experience a plus
