The Senior Cost/Price Analyst is responsible for examining cost data and developing pricing models to ensure compliance with government regulations and internal manuals. They also participate in strategy meetings, prepare cost rationale, and present proposal data to senior management.

What You'll Do:
Responsible for the examination and analysis of cost data and commercial customer requirements as they pertain to labor, materials, equipment and other elements of Government Requests for Proposals and Invitations for bid. Develops cost data and makes recommendations on methods, procedures and techniques to be used in cost proposal preparation. Ensures price proposals are in compliance with the Estimating System Manual, Government regulations and guidelines. Assists other personnel in developing cost strategies, analyzing competitive proposals and performs analysis of contracts of other firms. Participate in the preparation and presentation of proposal cost data to Senior Management. Reviews Government Request for Proposals (RFP) and Invitations for Bid (IFB) to determine general and specific cost requirements, and ensures proposals comply with all requirements.
Responsibilities:
Develops formats for cost proposal data to comply with Government and commercial customer requirements and the Corporate Estimating Manual in hard copy and for computer disk submission in software such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Receives pricing data, and makes recommendations on methods, procedures and techniques for pricing proposals. Develops pricing models.
Examines and analyzes cost data relevant to labor, materials, supplies, parts, equipment and other expenditures.
Analyzes contracts for relevant cost data, trends, historical data, work categories and other related information.
Obtains indirect rates from the Corporate Controller’s Department to be priced, i.e., Payroll Charges, Overhead, G&A.
Participates in strategy meetings and provides input on cost related matters as required, including cost strategy for initial proposal and subsequent revisions.
Participates in the development of detailed cost rationale and retains backup information to support bid.
Maintains records and files to support cost data submissions.
Prepares Bid Fact Sheet financial input to include cash flow and internal rate of return analysis for all proposals.
Ensures price proposals are prepared in accordance with FAR, CAS applicable laws and regulations and Corporate Disclosure Statement. Supports DCAA audits as applicable.
Assists the Director of Estimating and Pricing to ensure the accuracy of the Estimating System Manual.
Prepares pricing presentations to Senior Management.
Prepares Bid opportunity cost estimates for Business Operations Directors.
Collects statistical data regarding Proposal Costs and Efficiency.
Fills in for the Deputy Director of Pricing in his absence and provides supervision of Cost / Pricing Analysts.
Performs other duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, management, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained. (One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required)
Experience
6+ years of experience in competitive pricing and/or change management, preferably in defense contracting, or a related role.
In depth experience and knowledge of FAR, CAS applicable laws and regulations and Corporate Disclosure Statement.
Proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex organizational change initiatives.
Strong understanding of defense contractor pricing strategies, principles, methodologies, and tools.
Knowledge of pricing models and defense industry practices.
Experience with compliance reviews, BOE development, and corporate/business presentations.
Desired Qualifications
Extensive experience in the defense or government contracting industry.

The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.
USD $ 80,000 - $125,000
Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
