Senior Contracts Attorney

At Gallagher, you'll help shape the contracts that support our North American businesses. You'll work on a wide range of commercial agreements and help colleagues manage legal and business risk. This role brings together contract drafting, negotiation, and practical legal advice. You'll also help identify and address issues linked to privacy, data security, HIPAA, GDPR, intellectual property, bankruptcy, and regulation.

You'll work across the business to move contracts forward and help teams make clear, informed decisions. You'll draft, review, negotiate, and finalize vendor, client, partnership, consulting services, marketing, and other agreements that support Gallagher's operations. You'll make sure contract terms line up with business goals and legal requirements.

You'll partner with business leads, managers, and other legal colleagues on strategic and commercial work. You'll give practical advice on contract interpretation, dispute points, and wider legal issues that come up in contract work. You'll also help improve how the team uses data, reporting, and automation in contract processes.

• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize commercial agreements in English.
• Advise on contract risk, interpretation, and dispute issues.
• Support work across privacy, IP, bankruptcy, HIPAA, GDPR, and regulatory matters.
• Contribute to data metrics, reporting, and automation improvements within the legal team.

• You have at least 7 years of experience reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and interpreting agreements for US and Canadian companies or firms.
• You have a law bachelor´s degree.
• You can review and negotiate contracts in English only (Advanced english required)
• You can explain contract terms and legal risk clearly in writing and in conversation.
• You have worked with contract lifecycle management systems such as Ironclad, DocuSign, or iCertis.
• You can use business context to judge whether a contract term or structure will work across functions.
• You can analyse detail, spot issues early, and move work forward with minimal direction.
