About the Role
We're hiring our first Senior Community Manager to build and own Entity's community from the ground up. You'll set the community strategy, run our social channels, play a central part in our influencer campaigns, and be one of the most visible voices of the company to players and developers.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You'll decide how our community is built, which channels we invest in, and how we measure progress, and you'll do the work yourself. You'll work closely with our product, content and growth teams, and with developers on our platform to help their games connect with our players.
You'll be representing Entity in public every day, so judgement matters as much as creativity. Knowing what not to say, and when to say nothing, is a core part of this job.
Key Responsibilities
• Own Entity's community strategy and build the function: channels, success measures, tools, processes and future hiring.
• Work closely with our growth team on influencer and creator campaigns. Influences are our main user acquisition channel: shaping the community's role in each campaign, and engaging with creators and their audiences to help turn new players into an engaged community.
• Grow and engage our player community across Discord, Reddit and our own channels
• Run Entity's social channels day to day, creating content and engaging with players, developers and the wider industry.
• Act as a public voice of Entity, with sound judgement on what we can and cannot say, and handle community issues calmly, working in partnership with the Entity leadership team / founders.
• Plan and run community events and campaigns, including working with developers to bring their games to our community.
• Work closely with product (player and developer feedback), content (upcoming games) and growth (acquisition and retention).
• Track and report on community, social and influencer performance, and use the data to refine the approach.
Requirements
• At least 3–5 years' experience in community management for games or a gaming platform.
• Deep knowledge of the gaming influencer and creator landscape, with a proven track record of working on creator campaigns that grew a community or player base.
• A proven track record of using social media effectively, with clear examples of channels you have grown and the results you achieved.
• Deep familiarity with gaming communities and the platforms where they gather, such as Discord, Reddit, X, TikTok, YouTube and Twitch.
• Excellent written communication, with the ability to adapt tone for players, developers and industry audiences.
• Strong judgement when representing a company in public, including an understanding of confidentiality, legal and reputational considerations.
• Demonstrable experience handling community issues or difficult situations calmly and professionally.
• The ability to work independently and build a new community function, without an existing team or playbook.
• Comfort working with data to measure community and social performance.
• Based in the UK or Ireland, with the right to work there.
Nice to Have
• Experience as the first community hire at a startup or new studio, ideally building a community ahead of launch.
• Experience working with third-party developers or publishers on community and launch activity.
• Familiarity with core and mid-core games and their communities.
• Comfort appearing on camera or streaming yourself.
• Hands-on experience with community tools such as Discord bots, moderation, social scheduling and analytics platforms.
Working Conditions
Entity is remote-first, but this role is only open to candidates based in the UK or Ireland, with a suitable home-working setup. We value autonomy, clear ownership, and outcome-driven work. Some flexibility in working hours is expected to support collaboration across the team. Occasional travel may be required for team sessions, industry events, or visits with development partners.
