- Work Schedule: Standard business hours with flexibility; travel required as needed for hearings, depositions, mediations, and proceedings
Role Responsibilities
Primary Duties
- Independently manage complex commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Handle breach of contract, civil fraud, and other sophisticated business disputes across multiple jurisdictions
- Lead litigation strategy, motion practice, discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation
- Coordinate with clients, co-counsel, and local counsel for pro hac vice admissions when necessary
- Draft and argue substantive motions in federal court
- Maintain strong client communication and responsiveness throughout all stages of litigation
- Play a central role in case strategy and client relationship management
Typical Day
- Managing active litigation matters and case strategy
- Drafting motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
- Conducting and defending depositions
- Participating in client calls and case status meetings
- Coordinating with co-counsel and local counsel in various jurisdictions
- Preparing for hearings, mediations, and trial proceedings
- Reviewing discovery and developing litigation tactics
Supervisory Responsibilities
- No direct supervisory responsibilities initially, though mentoring junior attorneys or coordinating with litigation support staff may occur as needed
Qualifications & Experience
Required Experience
- Approximately 10+ years of commercial litigation experience
- Significant federal court litigation experience, including motion practice and case management
- Demonstrated ability to independently run and manage litigation matters
- Strong experience handling complex business disputes
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
- Proven professionalism, reliability, and responsiveness
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, self-directed environment
- Must be licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar.
- An active Florida Bar license is required.
- Candidates must be admitted to practice law in the state of Florida.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with general commercial or transactional matters
- Portable book of business preferred but not required
- Multi-jurisdictional litigation experience strongly preferred
Certifications/Licenses
- An active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction is required
- Ability to obtain pro hac vice admissions as needed

Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range
- Base salary starting at $200,000 annually
Bonus/Commission
