Senior Cloud Engineer (SA)

This is a remote position.

About the role:

You’ll work at the intersection of AWS, Kubernetes, containers, cloud-native architecture and automation, helping customers modernise legacy applications and infrastructure while driving DevSecOps, GitOps and Infrastructure as Code practices.

This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to mentor engineers, lead technical workshops and influence cloud innovation across customer environments.

• Architect and implement secure, scalable AWS cloud environments
  
• Modernise legacy applications using cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes and containers
  
• Design microservices and 12-factor application architectures
  
• Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
  
• Implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps and GitOps
  
• Improve application performance, scalability, security and cloud cost efficiency
  
• Lead customer technical workshops and solution discussionsEvaluate emerging technologies and drive cloud engineering best practices
  
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing
  
• Collaborate with customers and technical teams to deliver complex cloud transformation projects
  

Requirements

Experience:

• Extensive hands-on AWS engineering and architecture experience
  
• Proven experience transforming legacy applications into cloud-native architectures
  
• Strong Kubernetes and containerisation experience
  
• Hands-on Terraform / Infrastructure as Code expertise
  
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps and GitOps
  
• Knowledge of software development practices, application architecture, microservices and 12-factor principles
  
• Familiarity with programming languages/frameworks such as:
  Java/Spring | .NET Core | Python | NodeJS | Go
• Experience designing and implementing large-scale, secure cloud environments
  
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills
  
• Experience mentoring engineers and sharing technical knowledge
