What you will be doing:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in SQL Server, F#, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture to design and build scalable, high-performance backend solutions. This role requires an engineer who is comfortable designing complex systems, developing robust backend services, and working with modern messaging platforms such as Kafka.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong software architecture skills, enabling them to translate business requirements into reliable, maintainable, and scalable solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.

• Strong experience developing applications using F#.

• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server or Postgres or similar.

• Extensive experience writing and optimizing:

• Stored Procedures

• Functions

• Views

• Triggers

• Complex SQL Queries

• Query Performance Tuning

• Strong understanding of relational database design and data modeling.

• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or similar technologies.

• Experience implementing event-driven and message-based architectures.

• Strong knowledge of distributed systems concepts.

• Experience designing scalable enterprise software solutions.

• Solid understanding of:

• System Design

• Microservices Architecture

• Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

• Event Sourcing (preferred)

• CQRS (preferred)

• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Strong understanding of software design patterns and SOLID principles.

• Experience with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
