Senior Application Developer - SQL/Data Migration

Redtech is helping our client with a Contractor search for a Senior Level Application Developer - SQL/Data Migration 

Location - Mostly remote, but reside in WA State (possible travel to other locations in WA - reimbursable for in state)

Target start date - October 2026

Duration - June 30, 2027 (extensions possible)

Schedule - Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30PM (Pacific Time).

Contract Pay Rate Range - $70-75/hr W2 - this range assumes full benefits participation

Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications and level of benefits selected etc.

Project Overview 

This position supports the CLIENTs initiative to replace several current systems with new solutions. The Integration App Team Specialist will lead the replacement effort including integrating multiple new solutions, integration with existing internal and external applications, and the migration of current data to the new systems.

The duties include API development, database design, data schema mapping, application development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and problem resolution in an iterative and interactive style of development.

Required Knowledge and/or Skills 

• Bachelor's degree in either Computer Science/Information Technology and 7+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience developing applications
  
• 5+ years of experience developing async Soap and Restful APIs and connecting APIs to applications
  
• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server and T-SQL
  
• 5+ years of experience testing integrations
  
• 4+ years of developing data migration approaches and leading related activities
  
• 4+ years of experience developing data schemas for legacy systems and mapping data from legacy systems to SQL databases
  
• 4+ years using Azure functions for data migrations
  
• 3+ years of experience using SSIS for data migrations
  
• 3+ years using DevOps with CI/CD Pipelines
  
• 3+ years REST API testing
  
• Experience deploying Azure resources with Bicep Scripts
  
• Programming experience using .NET MVC framework (ASP.NET, C#)
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  

Desirable Knowledge and/or Skills:

• Proven track record of organizing and managing complex data projects from planning through execution
  
• Willingness to write and execute manual test cases
  
• Experience developing and executing automated browser tests
  
• Experience using Git based source control
  
• Developing applications using JavaScript
  
• Cloud certifications
  
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
