AES Clean Energy is seeking a Senior Analyst, Application Support to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing our software applications and products that support our rapidly growing business. AES CE, a division of The AES Corporation, specializes in developing, owning, and operating renewable energy projects. With a business goal to become the number one renewables developer and operator in the US (United States), now is an amazing time to join the AES CE team as it experiences exponential growth. 

 

The Senior Analyst will be part of a team of developers and product teams to design, implement, and maintain solutions that meet our organization’s needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of business processes and IT systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

Product Requirements Analysis

  • Partner with product owners, product managers, stakeholders, and end users to gather, analyze, and document business and product requirements.

  • Translate business needs into technical specifications and scalable system designs.

  • Conduct feasibility assessments and impact analyses to evaluate potential solutions and recommendations.

  • Facilitate communication between technical and business teams to ensure alignment throughout the development process.

System Design and Development

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions using Quickbase, SQL, and other relevant technologies.

  • Create and maintain detailed system documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and data models.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that improve operational efficiency and user experience.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts and identify opportunities to enhance existing systems and processes.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Support products and applications throughout their lifecycle, from initial concept and implementation through ongoing enhancements and optimization.

  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues while identifying opportunities to prevent future occurrences.

  • Monitor product performance and recommend improvements based on business needs and user feedback.

  • Provide support and knowledge sharing to team members and end users to promote operational excellence.

Testing, Quality Assurance, and User Enablement

  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure applications meet business requirements and quality expectations.

  • Participate in system testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.

  • Identify, document, and resolve system defects and process issues.

  • Create and maintain user guides, training materials, and support documentation.

  • Deliver training and support to users, helping them maximize the value of application features, reporting capabilities, and data quality practice.

  

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

  • Experience supporting, implementing, or enhancing business applications, software platforms, or enterprise systems.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI is a plus.

  • Experience analyzing, modeling, and interpreting data to support business decision-making.

  • Familiarity with relational databases, data structures, and application support methodologies.

  • Experience with Quickbase or similar low-code/no-code platforms is beneficial but not required.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work successfully across diverse teams and stakeholder groups.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team-oriented environment.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $87,000 and $104,550/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes annual bonus. The benefits offered for this position are: medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, 401(k) eligibility, and paid time off (including vacation, sick leave time, and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
