Position Overview
The State of Ohio is seeking a Senior AI Engineer with expertise in Agentic AI, Context Engineering, Conversational AI, and Generative AI to design, develop, and deploy enterprise AI solutions across Microsoft and Google ecosystems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building AI agents, integrating LLMs and NLP technologies, developing APIs, and implementing secure, scalable AI solutions using Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and Google Dialogflow CX/CCAI.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of IT experience, including 2+ years implementing AI Conversational Agents using Microsoft and Google ecosystems
- 1+ year of Microsoft Power Platform experience
- Mandatory experience with:
- Microsoft Foundry (Agentic AI Development)
- Microsoft Copilot Studio
- Azure AI Search
- Azure AI Language Service
- Google Dialogflow CX
- Google Conversational Agents / Google CCAI Services
- SharePoint Online solutions using Power Platform
- Strong programming skills in C#, .NET, JavaScript, or Python
- Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and web services
- Experience training, deploying, and monitoring AI models
- Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), and Generative AI
- Experience creating Looker Dashboards for AI performance monitoring
- Strong communication, technical writing, and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AI governance, responsible AI, and data privacy
- Experience leading Proof of Concept (POC) initiatives
- Knowledge of application development, middleware, databases, networking, and enterprise architecture
- Experience presenting AI solutions to business and technical stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Agentic AI and conversational AI solutions using Microsoft and Google AI platforms
- Build AI agents, virtual assistants, and chatbot applications integrated with enterprise systems
- Develop APIs and integrate AI solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, and third-party applications
- Implement and optimize NLP, LLM, and Generative AI capabilities
- Create custom indexes, tune AI models, and improve conversational accuracy
- Develop dashboards and monitor AI solution performance using Looker
- Ensure AI solutions comply with security, governance, and data privacy requirements
- Collaborate with business analysts, UX designers, architects, project managers, and Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) teams
- Lead technology evaluations, proof-of-concept initiatives, and technical solution presentations
- Produce technical documentation, presentations, white papers, and architecture diagrams
