As a Security & Infrastructure Engineer with Clark Schaefer Consulting, you'll help clients strengthen their security posture while helping shape the future of a growing cybersecurity and managed services practice.
You'll work across a variety of client environments, designing and deploying security controls, strengthening infrastructure, implementing monitoring and automation solutions, and helping define how services are delivered as our practice continues to grow.

What You'll Do
This role combines hands-on engineering work with practice development responsibilities.
You'll help clients implement and strengthen security controls aligned with frameworks such as CMMC, NIST, PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC 2 while also contributing to the growth and maturity of our managed services offerings.
Depending on the engagement, you may:
- Design and deploy security controls across Microsoft 365, cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments
- Implement technologies such as Microsoft Purview, Intune, Entra ID, Conditional Access, Defender, SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management platforms
- Build and harden infrastructure including Active Directory, Group Policy, VPN, PKI, networking, and identity services
- Develop automation and operational workflows using PowerShell and modern management tools
- Deploy and manage RMM, monitoring, patching, and remote support platforms
- Create documentation, operational runbooks, and implementation standards
- Work directly with client stakeholders to deliver solutions, provide guidance, and solve complex technical challenges
- Help shape the tools, processes, and service offerings that will support the continued growth of our cybersecurity and managed services practice

We're interested in professionals who bring a blend of infrastructure, security, automation, and client-facing experience.
Ideal candidates will offer experience in areas such as:
- Cybersecurity engineering, systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or managed services
- Microsoft 365 security technologies including Purview, Intune, Entra ID, Defender, and Conditional Access
- Active Directory, networking, identity management, and infrastructure design
- SIEM, monitoring, endpoint security, and vulnerability management platforms
- PowerShell scripting and automation
- Compliance frameworks such as NIST 800-171, CMMC, PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, or CIS Benchmarks
- Consulting, managed services, or professional services environments
