EQUANS:
EQUANS have established a single, global, ERP Shared Line of Service (SLS ERP) with 2 operating domains covering strategic ERP vendors and products, SAP, and Microsoft Dynamics, to lead the way in leveraging and adopting new technologies, tools, techniques, or practices to support and promote the use of ERP systems to extract the maximum value and return on investment.
The mission for the SLS ERP is to (1) Optimise the total cost of ownership of the ERP systems (2) Enabling the business to deliver it’s strategic objectives (3) Transform the operating model (4) Leverage the ERP community (business and IT) to enable greater local IT teams effectiveness.
It’s aim is to add value by enabling business productivity through communities, optimising the organisation by mutualising resources with unique knowledge or skills where appropriate, identifying and reducing duplication of effort across initiatives and geographies, leveraging opportunities and synergies for convergence, rationalisation, mutualisation, and driving / supporting transformation.
We are seeking an experienced Change and Transformation professional who will lead on defining, shaping and establishing a change and transformation approach / framework to support the effective delivery of the SLS ERP delivery portfolio with a particular focus on the Equans SAP S/4 HANA transformation programme across several countries for the next 5 years. The S4 programme is an end-to-end transformation, touching business processes, integration, data and change management.
The Global Change and Transformation lead will have strong experience in the design and delivery of ERP change and transformation programmes with the ability to own and drive activities in this area, working in conjunction with local transformation teams, the SLS ERP, it’s partners and the wider IT and business teams as part of the Equans organisation.

About the Role:
The role will require close collaboration with both the SLS ERP and country teams, working alongside country and functional counterparts, in partnership, to ensure direction, support and alignment to a global approach is in place
The role requires strong leadership, resilience, and stakeholder management skills to navigate a complex projects within a global organisation.
- Lead the global SLS ERP change, transition, and transformation strategy across the Global ERP portfolio, with initial focus on the S/4HANA programme globally.
- Establish and embed standardised and consistent global change, transition, and readiness frameworks across multi-country ERP deployments.
- Provide expert strategic guidance to programme and country teams to drive adoption, engagement, and organisational readiness.
- Design and implement global stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and readiness approaches.
- Provide critical support to engage with countries as part of onboarding
- Identify and mitigate change and transition risks to support successful programme delivery.
- Define the direction for change methodologies, tooling, and best practices across the Global ERP function creating a framework for countries to work within
- Develop and maintain global playbooks, templates, and key delivery artefacts to enable consistent execution.
- Influence senior stakeholders and programme leadership to ensure change and transition are embedded in programme decisions.
- Provide portfolio-level oversight of transformation activities across ERP, transition, and tool rollout initiatives with a focus on the S4 programme
- Strengthen global ERP transformation capability, supporting the future development of a global change function.
- Act as the key interface in this space between the SLS ERP and country local teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Programme Change and Transformation:
- Lead the development and execution of global change and transformation strategies to support the delivery of the global S/4HANA programme and wider ERP initiatives.
- Establish and maintain enterprise-wide change, transition, and readiness frameworks applicable across multiple countries and programmes.
- Provide strategic direction on adoption, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and organisational readiness approaches.
- Partner with country programme teams to guide implementation of global frameworks while ensuring local adoption needs are addressed.
- Portfolio and Programme Support:
- Support the Global ERP portfolio across multiple concurrent initiatives, including S/4 deployments, transition programmes, and tool rollouts.
- Define and implement standardised governance, change documentation, and reporting approaches across ERP programmes.
- Lead readiness assessments, transition planning, and adoption tracking across programme waves and geographies.
- Advise programme leadership on change risks, mitigation strategies, and intervention plans.
- Frameworks, Tools and Capability Development:
- Define the direction for change and transition tooling, methodologies, and best practices for the SLS ERP organisation.
- Develop key templates, playbooks, and artefacts to support consistent programme delivery.
- Provide expert guidance to programme teams on effective programme, transition, and change management approaches.
- Support the long-term development of organisational change capability across the ERP function to support the S4 programme and delivery project portfolio.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Leadership
- Engage senior global stakeholders, programme leadership teams, and country representatives to align transformation priorities.
- Influence decision-making through insight-led recommendations and data-driven readiness reporting.
- Lead through collaboration, building strong relationships across regions, functions, and delivery partners.
- Over time, support the potential build-out of a global change capability as the ERP portfolio evolves.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Significant experience leading change, transformation, and transition activities within large-scale ERP or enterprise technology programmes.
- Proven experience working across multi-country programme environments, supporting complex global deployments (ideally S/4HANA or comparable transformations in an SAP setting).
- Experience establishing frameworks, methodologies, playbooks, and governance for change, transition, and adoption.
- Experience operating in portfolio or multi-programme environments, managing competing priorities and influencing delivery without direct line management responsibility.
- Solid understanding of financial processes ideally in a shared services setting is desirable.
Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of programme, transition, and organisational change management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Understanding of ERP transformation lifecycles, deployment models, and organisational readiness requirements.
- Knowledge of stakeholder engagement, communications, learning, and adoption strategies within large-scale transformations.
- Awareness of change and adoption tooling, measurement approaches, and readiness assessment techniques.

Qualifications/Education:
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of ERP related experience in a minimum of 10 years in a comparable role, preferably in a multi geography environment.
- Excellent English language speaking with other European languages being desirable.
- Professional certification in change management related areas (e.g., APMG Change Management, or equivalent) desirable.
- Programme or project management certification in projects management and related disciplines (e.g. PRINCE2 e.g. MSP e.g. PMP e.g. Agile or equivalent) desirable.
- Relevant professional development or certifications in transformation, organisational development, or ERP programme delivery considered advantageous.
