Hi there :)

Thanks for checking in to find out about our open position. We´ll provide as much information as possible, but please feel free to reach us if you have further questions. We´ll be happy to see your application, even if there are skills you don't quite master!

About Us

At South Geeks, we engage top-performing Software Engineers, Security Experts, and Data Analysts from Latin America to join our clients' teams worldwide. For over 8 years, we've been helping future-shaping companies scale faster by curating world-class tech talent and building long-lasting, strategic partnerships. We pride ourselves on a people-centered culture that powers innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

About the Client

Our client is a Fortune 500 global energy company running a strategic initiative to migrate historical Plant Maintenance data into SAP S/4HANA through a governed, auditable web application integrated with SAP CPI. The work runs in 8 Agile-Scrum sprints over 16 weeks, fully remote, with a small senior team operating end to end.

About the Role

We are looking for an SAP CPI Developer to build a brand-new SAP CPI iFlow for PM Historical Notifications from scratch. This is a 4-month engagement (16 weeks, 8 sprints). You will work part-time on schema study during W1 to W2, ramp during SP1, then move to full-time during the active development phase in W11 to W16. The existing Work Order CPI iFlow is reused as is and is explicitly out of scope for this role.

Assignment Highlights

- 4-month engagement (16 weeks, 8 sprints)

- 235 hours total. Part-time during W1 to W2 schema study, full-time during SP5 to SP8 (W11 to W16) active development

- 100% remote, Eastern Time overlap required

- BYOD

Key Responsibilities

- Build the new SAP CPI iFlow for PM Historical Notifications (HTTPS inbound).

- Co-design the joint XSD with the client PM at Gate 0 (W2 to W3).

- Map XML to OData V2 Deep Insert format and implement the atomic CREATE_DEEP_ENTITY POST (header plus all Findings child entities in a single transaction).

- Implement SAP Gateway routing, error handling, dead-letter strategy, and CPI-to-SAP correlation IDs.

- Set up controlled SFTP / Google Cloud Storage file handoff.

- Write the iFlow documentation and runbook.

- Support SIT testing for Deep Insert atomicity.

What You Need to Succeed in This Role

- SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI / BTP Integration Suite), 2+ years hands-on.

- OData V2 Deep Insert (CREATE_DEEP_ENTITY): direct iFlow implementation experience. This is non-negotiable. Expect a live iFlow trace or code sample at the technical interview.

- HTTPS inbound adapter, payload validation, security policy.

- XML/XSD mapping in iFlow (Graphical Mapping or XSLT, schema validation node).

- SAP Gateway integration (OData service call from CPI, OAuth2 or Basic auth).

- Error handling in CPI (dead-letter queue, exception subprocess, alert framework).

- Professional written English for interface contract documentation.

Nice to have: SFTP adapter for controlled file pickup; CPI monitoring (MPL log interpretation, correlation IDs, alerts); XSD schema design for collaborative authoring; CPI tenant administration; SAP S/4HANA connectivity (Cloud Connector or direct HTTPS); SAP PM module awareness.
