We are seeking an experienced Risk Specialist to support the implementation of a new risk management system within a large organisation. This role will involve applying your enterprise risk management expertise to ensure risk frameworks, policies, processes and reporting requirements are effectively translated into a new system.

This role will be a fixed term contract until 7 May 2027 based in Australia.

Requirements

What you’ll do

  • Analyse existing risk management frameworks, policies, procedures and reporting requirements.

  • Support the implementation and configuration of a risk management information system to meet enterprise, strategic, operational, project and compliance needs.

  • Review and validate risk taxonomies, categories, consequence and likelihood matrices, treatment plans and control libraries.

  • Translate risk management and governance requirements into detailed system configuration specifications.

  • Provide specialist advice throughout solution design, configuration, testing and deployment.

  • Develop and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) scenarios and test cases.

  • Support risk-related data cleansing, migration and validation activities where required.

  • Update risk management documentation, policies and procedures to support system adoption and compliance.

  • Contribute to dashboards, risk reports and executive reporting requirements.

What you’ll bring

  • At least five years of experience in enterprise risk management within the Australian public sector or a similarly regulated environment.

  • Experience supporting the implementation, enhancement or optimisation of a risk management information system, GRC platform or similar governance solution.

  • Strong understanding of the Commonwealth Risk Management Policy, PGPA Act and APS governance and assurance frameworks.

  • Experience with risk reporting, accountability requirements and governance processes.

  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear documentation, reports, briefing papers and training materials.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business and governance requirements into practical system solutions.

  • Experience with ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM), GRC platforms, data migration or executive dashboards will be highly regarded.

  • Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain an AGSVA Baseline security clearance.
