TNT Crane & Rigging, Inc. is looking for an accomplished rigging professional who knows how to teach the craft—not just explain it. In this role, you will use real-world experience, technical standards, and hands-on coaching to help employees build sound judgment, reliable technique, and confidence on the jobsite. Job Summary: As a full-time member of the Training Department, the Rigging Trainer plans, delivers, and evaluates technical and safety training across multiple business units. You will lead classroom, hands-on, and blended learning; demonstrate correct rigging practices; assess practical performance; and give clear, actionable coaching. You will connect rigging fundamentals, lift preparation, equipment inspection, hazard recognition, communication, and safe execution to the realities of field work. Key Responsibilities: •  Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on instruction in rigging practices, equipment selection and use, inspection, hazard recognition, lift preparation, communication, and applicable safety requirements. •  Model correct techniques, observe participants during practical exercises, evaluate performance consistently, and coach learners toward safe, repeatable work habits. •  Coordinate training schedules with hiring, qualification, certification, refresher, and operational needs across multiple business units. •  Maintain accurate training, certification, and qualification records, document learner progress, and communicate results to appropriate leaders. •  Partner with operations, safety, and leadership to validate course content, address performance gaps, and incorporate jobsite lessons. •  Manage competing priorities, frequent travel, and changing operational demands while maintaining a high standard of instruction. •  Perform other duties as assigned. •  Partner with operations, safety, and leadership to validate course content, address performance gaps, and incorporate jobsite lessons. •  Manage competing priorities, frequent travel, and changing operational demands while maintaining a high standard of instruction. •  Perform other duties as assigned.   Qualifications: What you bring: •  At least three years of rigging experience, with the field credibility to explain both what the standard requires and how to apply it safely. •  Experience delivering technical or safety training to riggers, operators, and other craft professionals. •  Working knowledge of applicable ASME, OSHA, MSHA, federal, state, and provincial requirements and relevant industry standards. •  Ability to demonstrate rigging concepts and evaluate practical performance with consistency, professionalism, and attention to detail. •  Strong facilitation, coaching, written communication, verbal communication, and organizational skills. •  Ability to engage in small and large groups with varied experience levels. •  Comfort using Microsoft Office and learning technologies that support instruction and knowledge management. •  A self-directed, collaborative approach and the flexibility to teach outside a traditional classroom. •  Ability to travel up to 80% of the time. Preferred Qualifications: •  NCCCO or NCCER instructor certification; relevant rigger, signalperson, crane, or training credentials are also valued. •  NCCCO Rig2 and/or NCCER Advanced Rigger •  Experience with apprenticeship, qualification, on-the-job, or train-the-trainer programs. •  Knowledge of related training programs such as MEWPs, powered industrial trucks, and fall protection. •  Familiarity with adult learning principles and experiential instruction.
