Job Overview
The Retirement Analyst supports the administration, compliance, and ongoing operations of the organization’s retirement programs. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure accurate plan execution, regulatory compliance, and strong employee experience.
Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
2. Two (2) years of experience in retirement benefits or plan administration. Experience should include working with recordkeepers.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience working with Fidelity Investments.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
1. Supports day-to-day administration of retirement plans (e.g., 403(b), 457(b), pension and RMSA).
2. Monitors and reconciles employee and employer contributions.
3. Reviews eligibility, enrollment, and distribution activity for accuracy.
4. Tracks and resolves operational issues in partnership with vendors.
5. Acts as a primary contact for recordkeepers and partners such as Fidelity Investments and other legacy providers.
6. Submits, tracks, and resolves service tickets (e.g., contribution errors, eligibility issues).
7. Coordinates data exchanges and ensures file accuracy between systems.
8. Supports annual audits in partnership with external firms (e.g., Willis Towers Watson, CBIZ).
9. Prepares and validates audit documentation and census data.
10. Assists with regulatory compliance activities (e.g., 5500 filings, plan testing).
11. Generates and analyzes reports related to contributions, participation, and plan activity.
12. Identifies discrepancies and recommends corrective actions.
13. Supports ad hoc reporting requests from leadership.
14. Identifies opportunities to improve workflows, reduce manual processes, and enhance data accuracy.
15. Documents standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintains process documentation.
16. Assists with complex employee inquiries and escalations.
17. Partners with HR, Payroll, and HRIS teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
Physical Requirements:
1. Work environment is a professional office environment with typical office requirements such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
2. This is largely a sedentary role, which involves sitting most of the time, but may involve movements such as walking, standing, reaching, ascending / descending stairs and operate office equipment.
3. Frequently required to speak, hear, communicate, and exchange information.
4. Ability to see and read computers displays, read fine print, and/or normal type size print and distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
5. Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Job Profile Summary
This role focuses on supporting the design, development, and implementation of human resource programs and policies, including recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits, mobility, talent acquisition, diversity, talent management & organization development and employee/labor relations. In addition, this role focuses on performing the following benefit duties: Designs, implements, and administers an organization's health and welfare benefits programs. Responsibilities also include plan design, communications, vendor partnerships, and costing solutions that align with Tufts Medicine's strategies to engage and retain talent. This role is also accountable to work collaboratively with leaders, legal, and key stakeholders to ensure compliance to all regulatory aspects of health and welfare and retirement plan benefits administration. A professional individual contributor role that may direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs. The majority of time is spent overseeing the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills typically acquired through advanced education. An entry level role that applies broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education. May require the following proficiency: work is closely supervised, problems faced are not typically difficult or complex, and explains facts, policies and practices related to job area.

$77,333.26 - $98,603.60
