Position Overview
We are seeking detail-oriented, customer-focused individuals who enjoy researching options, organizing information, and helping people prepare for upcoming travel.
As a Reservation Planning Consultant, you will work with travelers to understand what they are looking for and help turn those ideas into coordinated vacation arrangements. You will research available services, assist with reservation planning, organize important booking information, and provide support as clients move closer to departure.
Previous travel-industry experience is not required. Training, supplier education, professional resources, and ongoing guidance are provided to help you develop the knowledge and skills needed for the position.
What You'll Do
Communicate with travelers to learn about their vacation ideas, travel dates, destination preferences, interests, and spending range
Gather important information needed to research and coordinate requested travel services
Explore available resorts, hotels, cruises, transportation, tours, excursions, attractions, and vacation packages
Compare travel products based on availability, client priorities, and requested features
Present appropriate choices and explain relevant reservation information to clients
Assist travelers with coordinating their selected vacation services using authorized supplier systems
Bring separate reservation components together into organized travel plans
Prepare and share booking confirmations, schedules, itinerary details, and applicable travel documentation
Monitor reservation deadlines, outstanding selections, and information still needed from travelers
Follow up with clients throughout the planning process to keep arrangements progressing
Respond to routine questions regarding existing bookings and upcoming trips
Assist with reservation revisions, date changes, cancellations, and special requests when applicable
Review booking records for correct traveler information, dates, services, and other important details
Document client preferences, communications, reservation activity, and planning notes within company platforms
Stay current on destinations, supplier products, promotions, and travel resources through ongoing education
