Research Manager – Office of the President
HIT Strategies is seeking a research manager (RM) to work in the Office of the President (OOP) in leading research on Black populations during the 2026 election cycle. This is a full-time fixed-term exempt position reporting to the President through December 2026.
Within the Office of the President, the RM owns the client relationship throughout the research engagement. They review and edit client deliverables ensuring that analysts are following processes and delivering quality research products on time. The RM works with our research investment team to execute a roadmap expanding the breadth and depth of OOP’s issue area expertise. The RM is a content expert that collaborates with the marketing and communications team to publicize research across op-eds, media interviews and social media. The RM is a people leader who can build, train, manage, support and lead effective teams in achieving Office of the President’s performance goals.
This is the perfect opportunity to build a profile as an expert in a given research area while shaping the clientele and projects you get to work with. The ideal candidate is an experienced researcher with a personal commitment to high standards, who excels at driving team performance and socializing research highlighting underrepresented communities, while ensuring methodological rigor and cultural competency in the deliverables they review from their team.
Therefore, expert analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills are required in this role. The successful candidate is also able to coordinate work timing and sequencing efficiently in a fast-paced environment--with flexibility to work non-traditional hours when the project or client necessitates. We work closely with high-profile political organizations and candidates, so interest and understanding of electoral politics, social activism, and advocacy work is required.
