Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, social work, or a related field plus six (6) years of research-related experience in early childhood education policy, educator training, community research, child development research, early childhood education programs, or a related field.
Education may be substituted for some years of experience.
Arkansas Driver’s License and ability to travel within AR and outside for trainings and project meetings as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience in research outcomes evaluation, early childhood education, OR social sciences.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a social science or related field.
Certificate of advanced training in evaluation and data management for research.
Experience with early childhood policy, data outcomes evaluation, community engagement, qualitative data analysis, and statistical methods.
Microsoft Power BI, database management, research data collection, survey design, SPSS, SQL, SAS, NVivo, or other evaluation software.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for designing and implementing research program evaluation protocols. This will include both qualitative and quantitative design and analysis.
Works on multiple programs in the child and family services sector including maternal and child wellbeing and mental health programs. Strong knowledge of the research and service settings, methods of protocol design, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data will be required.
Assists faculty in grant and contract applications, including work plan, budget, assessment of resources, and developing an evaluation plan.
Responsible for executing awarded grants and contracts to ensure the successful accomplishment of project outcomes following the established protocol. The position will create project timelines, strategies for content development, and processes for execution of deliverables.
Prepares grant reports for funders based on outcomes data. These reports will include technical writing, narrative description, and data visualization to present the findings in meaningful ways.
Ensures compliance within the division of UAMS policies and procedures.
Support staff with needed resources, mentoring, and training.
Represents research faculty with state and community partners in the work.
Works to build relationships with partner organizations to accomplish the deliverables and effectively manage program deliverables.
Delivers community-based trainings as needed around the State of Arkansas and will perform outreach functions in identified counties to meet participant recruitment goals for grants and contracts.
Works with key staff in the promotion of the Division of Research and Evaluation to various stakeholder groups.
Performs other duties as assigned.
