Remote OPI / VRI Interpreter (Spanish / English)

We are seeking experienced, highly skilled Spanish/English Interpreters to provide Over-the-Phone (OPI) and occasional Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) services across various specialized domains (Medical, Legal, Finance, Customer Service, and General Business).

In this role, you will facilitate clear, accurate, and culturally sensitive consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish speakers. We are looking for professional linguists with immediate availability who possess top-tier technical equipment and a dedicated home office environment.

Position Details & Work Schedule

• Work Model: 100% Remote.
• Work Schedule: Full-time (5 days a week, Monday through Friday, operating on Pacific Standard Time - PST).
• Shift Structure: 9-hour total shift (8 effective working hours + 1 hour of scheduled breaks divided throughout the day into two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute meal break).
• Availability: Immediate availability required.

Key Responsibilities

• Consecutive Interpretation: Deliver precise, real-time consecutive interpretation during OPI (and occasional VRI) sessions, maintaining high fidelity to tone, context, and terminology.
• Multi-Domain Coverage: Navigate seamlessly across diverse fields, adhering to strict professional ethics, confidentiality, and industry standards.
• Professional Presence: Maintain a distraction-free, fully compliant remote environment with seamless connectivity and high audio/video quality.

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Language Proficiency: Advanced / C1 level mastery in both English and Spanish (verbal and listening comprehension).
• Experience: Minimum 6 months of proven remote interpreting experience within BPO or language service environments.
• Interpretation Style: Strong command of consecutive interpreting techniques.

Home Office & Technical Standards:

• Headset: Professional USB noise-canceling headset with mic (Approved models include: Logitech H390/H340/H540/Zone Wired, Jabra GN/Evolve Series, Microsoft LifeChat LX-6000, Plantronics Blackwire C3220/C720, HP Stereo USB G2, Genius HS 230U, or equivalent office-grade models. No gaming headsets).
• Webcam & Studio: High-definition camera (720p or 1080p), good lighting, and a plain, solid-colored background wall.
• Internet Connection: Stable, hardwired Ethernet connection (no VPN or Wi-Fi), with at least 20 Mbps symmetrical (upload/download) speed.
• PC Hardware: Intel 6th Generation processor (or AMD 6000 series equivalent) or higher.
• Identity Verification: Valid government-issued Photo ID (both sides) from your current country of residence.
