Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAre you a highly organized legal professional with a passion for accuracy? Our client, a well-established national law firm with offices throughout the U.S., is adding a Legal Assistant to its team. This key position is responsible for overseeing calendaring and deadline management across multiple courts and jurisdictions using advanced legal technology.
This is a direct hire, full-time, remote opportunity available to candidates who reside in Kentucky. In addition to managing complex calendaring functions, this role provides leadership and day-to-day support for a small team. Compensation ranges from $70,000-$85,000, based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
Highlighted Responsibilities:
  • Manage the setup and ongoing maintenance of client files, case matters, and related records within the system.
  • Calculate, enter, and maintain litigation deadlines, hearings, and other case events using rules-based calendaring software while ensuring accuracy across time zones.
  • Prepare and circulate customized calendar and deadline reports for attorneys and legal staff.
  • Stay informed of changes to court rules and procedural requirements and implement updates as needed.
  • Partner with internal training staff to update workflow documentation, reference materials, and procedural resources.

Highlighted Qualifications:
  • Kentucky residency is required.
  • Previous experience with legal support and calendaring.
  • Strong background managing complex litigation calendars with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Thorough knowledge of court filing deadlines, procedural rules, and multi-jurisdictional litigation practices.
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines while exercising sound judgment and working independently.
  • Comfortable working with legal technology, automated calendaring systems, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and legal professionals in multiple offices.
