Remote Freelance Retoucher (South Africa-Based) – Ad Hoc | R700 per Hour

We are looking for an experienced Retoucher to join our freelance talent pool for ad hoc project work.

This role requires someone with exceptional retouching skills, meticulous attention to detail, and experience producing high-end imagery for advertising, marketing, and commercial campaigns.

Responsibilities

• High-end image retouching for digital and print campaigns.
  

• Compositing, colour correction, masking, clean-up, and image enhancement.
  

• Ensure all imagery meets brand guidelines and production specifications.
  

• Collaborate with photographers, art directors, designers, and creative teams to deliver premium-quality assets.
  

• Prepare final artwork for multiple formats and platforms.
  

• Deliver work within tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality.
  

Proven experience as a professional Retoucher.

• A strong portfolio showcasing high-end retouching work.
  

• Expert knowledge of the latest Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly Photoshop.
  

• Experience using the latest AI-powered retouching and image enhancement tools as part of your workflow.
  

• Excellent compositing, colour grading, masking, and non-destructive editing skills.
  

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  

• Fast, reliable internet connection and a professional home office setup.
  

• Available for ad hoc assignments, sometimes at short notice.
  

Preferred

• Experience working with leading brands, agencies, or production studios.
  

• Knowledge of CGI integration and advanced post-production workflows.
  

• Experience with Capture One and other professional imaging software.
