Lawrence Hall is seeking a dedicated and highly organised Remote Appointment Scheduler to join our team. This is a full-time position, offering the flexibility of remote work. As a key member of our administrative team, you will play a crucial role in connecting children, youth, and families with our vital services. You will be the first point of contact for many of our clients, ensuring a smooth and supportive scheduling experience.
Founded in 1865, Lawrence Hall is a non-profit, community-based human services organisation dedicated to helping individuals and families heal from the effects of trauma. We provide essential programmes including foster care, mental health services, and special education, empowering young people to build resilience and thrive. This role is fundamental to the successful delivery of our mission.
The offered salary for this position is $20 - $25 USD per hour.
Responsibilities
As a Remote Appointment Scheduler, your primary duties will include:
• Efficiently scheduling, rescheduling, and cancelling appointments for various services and clinicians.
• Managing and coordinating multiple calendars to optimise appointment availability.
• Communicating with clients in a compassionate, professional, and timely manner via phone and email.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential client records and appointment details within our database.
• Sending timely appointment reminders and follow-up communications to clients.
• Liaising with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination of care and services.
• Acting as a helpful first point of contact, addressing initial enquiries and directing individuals to the appropriate resources.
• Upholding the strictest standards of confidentiality regarding all client information.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• Proven experience in an administrative, scheduling, or client-facing support role.
• Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and empathetic telephone manner.
• High proficiency in using computers and scheduling software, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
• The ability to work independently and proactively in a remote setting.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• A strong understanding of the importance of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
• Experience working within a non-profit, healthcare, or social services environment is highly desirable.
