Job Description

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Engineering Discipline Lead to join our Remediation team in Providence, RI. You will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering remediation consulting services to our key clients. 

The position includes work on environmental (soil, sediment, surface or groundwater) remediation system evaluation, design, and monitoring, and/or in the evaluation and design of wastewater, groundwater and air pollution control systems. You will support the team through various measures and resources that will be available to you.

The job responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:

 

  • Provides technical leadership for a specialty and is considered to be a fully capable professional in their field. 
  • Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Makes decisions independently on technical problems and methods and represents the organization in conferences. 
  • Resolves important questions and plans and coordinates work. 
  • Requires the use of advanced techniques and the modifications and extension of theories, precepts and practices of the field and related sciences and disciplines. 
  • The knowledge and expertise required for this level of work usually result from progressive experience. 
  • Supervision and guidance relate largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. 
  • Receives direction on unusual conditions and developments.

 

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • BA/BS + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
    • Candidate must be a US Citizen or permanent resident and reside within the US Mainland.  
    • Successful candidate will have to pass a background check  

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelors Degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
    • 9+ years of experience in environmental investigations and site remediation.
    • Experience with CERCLA and RCRA remediation programs at complex sites.
    • OSHA 40-hr Hazardous Waste Operations Training.
    • Eligible to obtain Professional Engineering License.
    • PE Certified
